BetterToday Therapy

Hello, I’m Jennifer! I am a licensed social worker, and I work with individuals and families who are seeking a supportive and productive space. Each of us has unique strengths and skills, developed through their personal experiences and stories, but we sometimes underestimate ourselves. When we encounter obstacles or feel overwhelmed, our own abilities can seem out of reach and we begin to practice negative thoughts towards ourselves and others. I am here to help you navigate those stressors and burdens, while supporting you towards gaining a deeper understanding of your own identity. BetterToday Therapy is a place for clients and clinicians to remember that we can seek a better version of ourselves, and that can begin anytime, even today.
Through therapy, I work with clients to process challenging times in their lives, by focusing on skill building and safe processing. My approach to therapy is an open and affirming space, and I encourage clients to recognize both their strengths and needs. It is my privilege to walk with clients who want to process what has happened to them, but also want to take hold of their own agency. As I practice from a social work lens, we will often explore how cultural and social discourse have impacted your narrative. The ultimate goal of therapy is to recognize your own resiliency and empower you to take new steps. I hope to help you build new skills and to support you in building a better and fuller life!
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University and a Master of Social Work from Boston College. I have experience working in all education levels (elementary to college), and in intensive outpatient clinical settings. I currently practice under the clinical direction and supervision of Diana Hope, LCSW.
